I also believe Lennon was the more sensitive of the two, and was hurting very badly , maybe feeling he had lost his best friend or a brother. He expressed his feelings in his songs. Whether you like it or not, his voice is so beautiful and haunting. Those 4 lively and talented young men were never more to be all together for another song. This song always made me tear up. It was like the end of John and Paul ( in my head) I always thought John was hurting when he wrote this song. I love John and Paul the same. They were a fixture of my youth and I still love them today. I do believe they both had made up and loved each other like brothers.

So in the end, all was good. I want to think that, anyway. Then a monster came along and shot John. My heart broke. But the music lives on. Yep, that’s true. I’m really glad they got along well before John’s death. John was a complex character and was no doubt affected strongly by his mother’s death, his father’s absence and all sorts of other things. A very special, creative person. Paul and John were Yin and Yang. And yet I still think John’s occasional episode of spite and nastiness is regrettable.
