Over 60% of a middle to lower income Canadian’s gross income is absconded by taxation. Over 1/4 of that is for health care premiums, a large majority of which goes into the pockets of regional health authority bureaucrats. You don’t just pay for parking. The insult to injury in Canada is, you may not even get to see a doctor, and you still have to pay via the gun – taxation. or special coverage. Why not endorse a system that allows people who can afford additional insurance premiums to get select private care in Canada, rather than them going to the States? Then the public system has less pressure and is more affordable to middle and lower incomes?
