She wasn’t really that upset, it was probably just a bit of an initial shock. Personalized dallas cowboys helmet filter activated carbon face mask At 9yrs old I found out my Mum had a baby boy. I absolutely sobbed & told Nanna they had to take him back & get me a sister instead. I did NOT want a third brother, at all!

So true Also she just wants to be heard.. if the mother would have acknowledged her feelings first (eg ‘I understand you wanted it to be a girl and that is okay’) she would likely be much more open to having a little brother after she calmed down. Personalized dallas cowboys helmet filter activated carbon face mask I know plenty of kids who were upset about not getting the brother or sister they wanted and all of them ended up adoring their sibling. Sibling rivalry is 100% normal. Also I feel they should have a heads up and time to process what their sibling is going to be. Just like adults get to unless they decide to wait till birth.
She’s just a child who probably quite liked the idea of having a sister, and struggled a little bit with initially finding out the baby wasn’t going to be what she’d had ideas about being, that’s all. It was probably a surprise that the baby wasn’t going to be the gender she’d imagined it to be, and she probably doesn’t really mind at all. I bet she adored her baby brother when he arrived. I bet she does adore him. Children sometimes just have set expectations that aren’t as realistic as they would be for adults, because, well they are children, and have limited life experience.
