I agree charity groups, are better then government. I am thinking of needed care being in emergency situations : fires, car accidents, child birth treatment. Hospitals don’t turn away. Many hospitals have a policy to absorb cost if patient is poor. I have seen this abused though. It is actually already in place. And it is part of the cost problem. It isn’t legal for them to turn anyone away. So if I go to an ER with no money and no insurance, they will treat whatever emergency I had regardless.
