I agree with your comment! I lived in ishikawa prefecture 6 years and would regularly visit Noto peninsula. I had very good times with elderly people living there. Most had their children living and working in big cities and these elderly people refused to abandon their way of life, their homes, fields and their friends, to go live with their children in big cities. Some of the children would pay for nursery homes to take care of their elderly parents.
