On Friday morning, head coach Robert Saleh will inform the media about Davis’ ailment. In 2021, Davis had eight games lost due to injury, and in December he underwent core muscle surgery to finish his season. He had 34 receptions for 492 yards and four touchdowns by the end of the previous season.
With 160 receiving yards on eight catches in two games, Davis is the Jets’ top receiver. On a limited basis on Thursday, defensive end John Franklin-Myers (toe/quad) and left tackle George Fant (knee) both participated in practice.
Regarding his ankle injury, Christian McCaffrey says: I am quite happy.

J.C. Jackson is still sidelined, but Justin Herbert was practising more on Thursday
On the injury front, the Chargers received both good and bad news on Thursday.
Justin Herbert, the quarterback, took part in practice for a second straight day, which is encouraging news. Herbert participated in individual drills on Wednesday despite suffering cracked rib cartilage during last Thursday’s loss to the Chiefs.
Reporters at practice on Thursday reported that Herbert was throwing passes and exerting more effort than he did at practice on Monday. Wide receiver Keenan Allen, who is recovering from the hamstring ailment that held him out last week, caught a few of those passes.
J.C. Jackson, a cornerback, and Corey Linsley, a center, were involved in the unfortunate news. Jackson has missed both practice days this week despite last week’s ankle injury recovery. Linsley has missed both of the team’s practice sessions due to a knee ailment.
