The Raiders received some positive news today regarding injuries for the first time since the start of the season. They lost centre Andre James to a concussion at the end of the season opener. After the game, he had an injury so serious that he was evacuated by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Week 3 Thursday injury report for the Raiders and Titans: C Andre James resumes training
James missed their home debut last Sunday because he had not yet passed the concussion protocol as of week two. However, he overcame a significant protocol obstacle today and is already back in practice.
Bilal Nichols, a defensive tackle who suffered a shoulder injury and left last Sunday’s game in the third quarter, has also started practicing again. James and Nichols both have limitations.
Josh Jacobs and Neil Farrell Jr. (shoulder) were brand-new to DNP (illness). WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion), LB Denzel Perryman (ankle), and Tre’von Moehrig were still out from practice (hip).
DB Ugo Amadi, OLB Bud Dupree, T Taylor Lewan (knee), and OLB Ola Adelyi were absent for the Titans (neck).
7 players are listed as inactive for the Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game.
The Cleveland Browns have named seven inactive players who won’t play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. There have been a few injuries, a few players who are deep in the depth chart, and one unexpected guy who has played in the first two weeks of the season.
After blowing a two-score lead against the New York Jets on Sunday with just under two minutes remaining, the Browns unquestionably need to bounce back. No matter what, they have a chance to exit FirstEnergy Stadium with a record of 2-1 before the final buzzer.

Following his release by the Minnesota Vikings during cutdowns, Kellen Mond was picked up by the Cleveland Browns. However, there is now little need for Mond to dress since he is buried behind Jacoby Brissett and Joshua Dobbs.
After missing the majority of training camp and every preseason game, Michael Woods II has yet to play in a real football game. Woods might appear soon, but it doesn’t seem like he has much time left.
The Browns activated Chester Rogers from the Practice Squad in place of Felton, who had started the previous two games as the punt returner for the team.
For his camp, this is not particularly exciting news because his roster slot might be closer to the 53rd man than expected. Richard LeCounte III, a second-year player, has trouble finding the football field as a result of D’Anthony Bell’s surge throughout training camp and the preseason. Like Felton, there is cause to think that his roster spot is in jeopardy.
The Browns signed Joe Haeg to be the swing tackle in 2023, although they currently don’t need to dress him due to their depth along the offensive line. One other offensive lineman is removed from the roster for the actual game as a result of Jack Conklin’s return. Haeg and the following man on the list are involved this week.
Chris Hubbard’s better days are behind him as his career is about to come to an end. Although it is convenient to have a player with his level of expertise on hand in an emergency, the Browns would be better served by keeping him off the field unless absolutely necessary given their present depth at the position.
Jadeveon Clowney was almost immediately declared ineligible on a short week after injuring his ankle against the Jets. The good news is that he wasn’t put on injured reserve, though. Thus, rather than waiting until four weeks from now, he might return as soon as next week.
