with much more intensive needs than mine who are far more vulnerable, and they are dying because we’ve decided that disabled people don’t deserve any dignity or help, or even to stay alive. in a sense, yes, they are regular people. but to ignore the fact that they ARE different is to ignore a massive part of them. they are not the same as “regular” people. I feel it’s wrong to pretend that they’re not different. I was uncomfortable with how this was worded as well, though
