nothing substantive! take all the scenes with Lando in them, replace him with a generic extra, and you’ll get the same amount of substance, Lando doesn’t get to do anything that’s quintessentially Lando, so why bother having him in the movie at all? it’s literally just to bait the audience and reel them in with nostalgia, Lil homie baby yoda shirt nothing is added to the story by him making in appearance I don’t think they saw they same movie, he was great and literally is the reason the the darkside didn’t win.
Did you not watch the scene when he brought in all the civialian fleet? as for the nostalgia, you’ll get it when you’re older. You weren’t even born when the remastered OT came out. Some of us really enjoyed seeing our childhood heroes on sceeen again. I don’t see that as a weak ploy to take in dollars. Even if it is, it’s our dollars, not yours son. Chewy wouldn’t have made sense there, Leia wouldn’t have made sense there, Rose wouldn’t have made sense there…it worked
