In April 2018, Tencent officially announced that it had reached a strategic cooperation with Epic Games, and won the right to operate the popular game Fortnite in China. The game quickly became popular in the land of billions of people.

However, on October 31, Tencent suddenly said that the Fortnite game will be closed, the servers will be down. The schedule for the closure of this game in China is as follows:

11 am on 1/11/2021, stop registering new users for the game and close the download link. At 11 am on 11/15/2021, the game server will be down, users cannot log in to the game. When knowing this information, many players “expressed regret” about the time spent sticking with Epic Games’ products.

Fortnite is an online game developed by Epic Games in 2017. The reason is said to be because Tencent is an expiring game distributor and has no plans to maintain the product operation in the mainland market.

The time to participate in compensation activities is from October 28, 2021 to January 26, 2022. Once the user participates in the activities is considered the approval of the compensation plan in the game. If the user does not engage in indemnification activities within the said period, it is deemed to have automatically waived such alternative benefit.

The official compensation content is the package in the game FIFA Online 4 or FIFA Football World also published by Tencent in the mainland. Users can pre-load the game and create a character to prepare to participate in normal activities and receive rewards.
